Today's fashion is incredibly different from fashion forty, fifty years ago. If you ask me, those were the golden days of fashion. In the 50's & 60's, fashion was all about the womanly figure. Marilyn Monroe is an icon from those days. Her form fits, what I think as the ideal womanly figure, perfectly. She's curvy, her chest is bigger and she has a butt. Today's models are stick thin and most look unhealthy. I believe that breasts are one of the biggest thing that distinguish a woman from a man. I do believe that model image today is being controlled by gay men who own fashion lines. Take Marc Jacob's for example. In today's day and age, most women would have to starve them self and work out constantly to fit the image that Marc Jacobs likes. Yes, I also understand that a skinny figure is easier to fit than someone with curves but models shouldn't have to conform to be able to fit into something. They should be able to embrace a woman's body instead of having to starve themselves.
I do believe that gay fashion line owners dress their women in clothes they find attractive, which in most cases is more boyish. Even the dresses are.
Basically, I appreciate yesterday's fashion a lot more than today's.
